- We updated our podcast page with a new podcast about when to do REORG, RUNSTAT, and REBIND. We also updated the documentation for the previous podcast on optimistic locking. There's a link to a new zJournal article about minimizing the SQL statements you issue on the links page. We've also seriously updated the events page with appearances at IDUG Europe, IOD, and a BMC webinar. Also, there's a new UDF on the downloads page that does hex to small integer conversions.

- There has been a huge update to celebrate the new year (OK, actually because we were really busy, and the holiday break gave us a change to update)! Here's a short list:
- Two new podcasts on the series 2 podcast page about data sharing and stored procedures
- The DB2 for z/OS 9 Certification Guide is out, and we have a link to it on the links page
- Several article links on the links page have been repaired
- The DB2 9 for z/OS catalog poster is available for download on the downloads page

- New EXPLAIN queries are on the download page
- We located the old BMC Performance Primer, and that's now on the downloads page

- After several months of significant email and server problems we are finally on a new web server! Everything should be working normally now, and we are beginning a complete update of the site. Lots of new stuff coming really soon! If you recently sent an email or tried signing up for the mailing list and never got a response, please try again now!

- There's a new podcast out there on DB2 9 for z/OS. Our email problems have been repaired. We've added some information about optimistic locking and histogram statistics on the download page, as well as for the latest podcast. Also, the events page has been updated with tons of IDUG involvement. Finally, the links page has been updated with new V9 related DB2 links.

- More events have been added to the events page. The first podcast of our new series entitled Behind the Bar with The DB2 Cocktail Hour is now available on the podcast page. In addition, there are several multi-row fetch related downloads on both the podcast page for series 2, podcast 1, as well as the downloads page. This includes an article, presentation, and examples of multi-row fetch in a program.

- So where is this month's podcast? The lack of a podcast means that we're extremely busy! It looks like 2006 is going to be a huge year for DB2 based upon the request for our services! While you wait for a new podcast in just a couple of weeks you can check out our extensive list of public classes on the services page and the events page. We also have a new download to convert an LRSN to a timestamp, and the links page has been updated with links to the DB2 V8 family reference guide and the CICS documentation library.

space from SQL statements, and can optionally remove SPUFI messages and add commits. Check it
